As you may
already know, Hartford is a small town but because it is small it is
also a close and warm Community. The people of Hartford care for one
another and look upon others as members of their extended family.
This web site will let you know about our Church, Community United
Presbyterian Church (CUPC), and our Church family.
CUPC is an old church with a rich and varied history. The first
Presbyterian Church in Hartford was built in 1862. Prior to that people
met in their homes with a circuit Methodist minister.
Throughout the years other Churches were built. As the years went by the
Churches in Hartford united and became one: Community United
Presbyterian Church. Thus we are Presbyterian by name but diverse in
religious culture.
