Parking Lot Project

Parking Lot Project Completed!!!

Other than a few small details, CUPC has completed it's parking lot paving project! Members spent Friday night working on the backfill areas. Saturday morning, Chuck Polito, who owns a striping business, striped the parking lines in our newly paved parking lot.

Thanks to the many people have worked hard on this project!  Special thanks to the folks at Scotch Ridge for allowing us to worship with them.  Last but not least, thanks to the Sally Farley Estate for making this project possible!  Of course, thanks be to God the Father.

Stay tuned for more information regarding the dedication of the new parking lot.

After tremendous prayerful consideration, the Session of Community United Presbyterian Church approved an extensive project to “permanently” repair the church parking lot after a harsh winter took a significant toll on its condition.

A complete concrete parking lot surface will be installed beginning Monday, June 7, 2010, weather permitting.

After further prayer, it has been determined that the cost of this project will be paid through a generous gift from the Sally Farley estate.

Though many of us may not have known Sally personally, she had a deep love for her Lord and for the church that nurtured that faith in her younger days growing up in Hartford. She had no desire to be formally recognized for her faithfulness in her financial support of CUPC, but she was truly interested in the mission and ministries of the church as shown by her gifts through the years.

In the economic times that we currently are all experiencing, Sally’s gift will provide for a tremendous need of the church she loved to be fulfilled. When the project is complete, there will be a time to celebrate her life and give thanks to God for His providence in providing for the needs of CUPC through Sally and her generosity.

If you have any questions, please contact a member of Session or Pastor Nathan.
