CCA Food
Pantry Challenge 2008
During 2008,
members and friends of CUPC are encouraged to join in the CCA
Food Pantry Challenge! Each week, an item is designated to be
added to your personal grocery list to be donated to the CCA
Food Pantry operated at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Carlisle,
Iowa.
Items

Contributions
may be placed on the table in fellowship hall and will be
delivered to the food pantry at the end of each month. Whatever

Splinters from the Board – December 17, 2007
The Session
held a regular meeting on December 17.
A summary of
the meeting follows:
·
Accepted donated printer for secretary’s office.
·
Announced CUPC has been designated as a shelter during power
outages.
·
Appointed Randy Nesler as elder to 2008 Nominating Committee.
·
Approved $150.00 reimbursement for Living Sacrifice mileage from
the fellowship fund.
·
Approved Rev. Lamb’s request to perform a wedding on June 20,
2008, for non-members of CUPC.
·
Approved use of “glow sticks” for children for the Christmas Eve
Candlelight Service.
·
Discussed and approved 2008 CUPC Budget.
·
Distributed the fellowship and ushering lists for 2008.
·
Elected
Charles Casson as Elder Commissioner to Presbytery.
·
Elected
Claren Rawson as alternate Elder Commissioner to Presbytery.
·
Held
and approved elder examination.
·
Recognized and thanked elders going off Session.
·
Reported 26 poinsettias purchased and sold.
·
Reported active membership is 108 and inactive membership is
188.
·
Reported Myron Dean has been contacted to provide snow/ice
removal.

reports were received and approved from various individuals and
committees.

fun to arrive in a Carlisle School bus to cheer Brad on at a
hockey game? The youth will meet at the church to board the
bus. We’ll have pizza and pop afterwards!
