Potluck Luncheon
On November 2,
1969, the Reverend George Mason was installed as pastor of
Community United Presbyterian Church of Hartford. For 16 years
Rev. Mason served as pastor until his retirement in 1985.
During his
ministry at CUPC, “Pastor George” was well-known for his spirit
of adventure….participating in youth events, riding a
motorcycle, his love for God & family and his genuine kind
spirit to all. There were many memorable worship services and
sacraments provided to those still in this congregation as well
as those who may no longer be a present part of CUPC.
With gratitude
and affection the Session of Community United Presbyterian
Church has elected Rev. Mason to the designation of Pastor
Emeritus, an honorary distinction of a mutually caring pastoral
relationship.
On Sunday,
June 22, 2008, Rev. Mason will be joining the congregation for a
time of celebration! Please plan to join in this joyous time of
worship as we publicly express our thanks and love to Rev.
George Mason for his ministry at Community United Presbyterian
Church.

“Let us
love, not in word or speech, but in truth and action.” 1 John
