Community United
Presbyterian Church Usage Policy
The intent of the congregation of Community
Presbyterian Church is that the Church is to be a place of worship.
Worship is the primary purpose of the congregation. The Church may also
be used for weddings, receptions, showers, family events, family
reunions and funerals. There is no charge for the use of the church
building. However, we earnestly request a donation to defer the cost of
building maintenance and utilities. Organizations that are sponsored by
the Church (senior citizens, men/women groups, youth groups, LOGOS and
boy/girl scouts) are not required to pay for the use of the Church, but
may make a donation if they so choose.

Other Considerations:
- Members dates must be cleared on the
Church Calendar* and approved by the Pastor or Session prior to the
use of the building and grounds.
- Non-member dates must be cleared on
the Church Calendar* and approved by the Pastor and Session prior to
the use of the building and grounds.
- The Cleaning & Damage Deposit should
be a separate check from the usage donation. Both checks should
accompany the request for date. Please make checks payable to
Community United Presbyterian Church.
- The kitchen and all property therein
should not be used by a non-member, unless a church sponsored
organization, Church hostess, Pastor or Session member is in charge.
- All property within the Church will
not be loaned out unless permission is given by Session; the only
exception being library books.
- Use of alcohol and/or
tobacco is expressly forbidden on all church property and may be
ground for forfeiture of deposit by Session.
- Cleaning & Damage Deposits will be
refunded within 30 days, if the building and grounds are left in good
condition. (Example: Tables and chairs are clean and returned to their
original setup. Floors are vacuumed, swept and/or mopped.)
This church usage policy does not include Pastor, Sound Person or
Organist fees for any events.
